Robertson Millpond Preserve

This unique park offers a serene escape into nature with its rich history and diverse wildlife. The preserve features a 1.15-mile paddling trail that winds through a picturesque blackwater swamp. Paddlers can enjoy the tranquility of the millpond, surrounded by cypress trees and diverse wildlife. The trail is marked with numbered buoys, making navigation easy and safe.

The park is home to the 1820s dam and mill foundation, designated as a Wake County Historic Landmark in 2014. Shaded picnic tables by the boardwalk and a platform at the boardwalk's end provides easy fishing access.
